What are the different order and campaign types supported by &Open?

We have the following order and campaign types

  • A Standard Campaign/Order is any campaign/order which is pick and pack and fits in standard &Open packaging with Kraft tape. These can be accompanied by branded notecards.

  • A Bulk Order: Any order over 12 units (new definition incoming) - this requires special handling and a quote must be provided for shipping cost. Warehouses require 72 hours to process such orders, and day-specific delivery cannot be guaranteed.

  • Direct Shop Orders are orders where the client can add items of their choice to an order, on the platform. Assigning packaging to these orders is a challenge. At present, we follow the below approach:

  • A Non-Standard Campaign/Order is any campaign which falls outside the above parameters, for example a campaign which requires any of the below elements:

    • Branded Packaging

    • Branded Tape

    • Special Presentation

    • Custom Void Fill or Crinkle paper

    • Branded Sleeves

    • Customisation of any element

    • Requires packaging larger than &Open’s standard packaging

    Such a campaign will require Warehouse Pre-Assembly as it falls outside standard processes.

Assembled SKU’s

  • Warehouse Pre-Assembly is the process whereby the warehouse will pre-assemble orders into an Assembled SKU. This comes at an additional cost of between $2/€2 to $10/€10 per unit, depending on the level of complexity and has an SLA of 10 business days to complete assembly.

  • An Assembled SKU is a ‘parent’ SKU on the platform which has a bundle of ‘child’ SKU’s nested beneath. This allows a recipient to be presented with a single finished SKU during their redemption experience, e.g., a completed onboarding pack, as opposed to the individual items which make up the pack.

    • An Assembled SKU does not necessarily mean that Warehouse Pre-Assembly will be required. If the campaign is standard, and an Assembled SKU is only required for reasons such as size variations, platform imagers, client wishes etc, Virtual Warehouse Kits can be created, allowing orders to be picked and packed as they are redeemed.

    • A Virtual Warehouse Kit is when a number of ‘child’ SKU’s are combined to create a ‘Parent’ assembled SKU. However, these child SKU’s are not are Warehouse Pre-Assembled, a virtual kit is created on the Shipwire system, such that when Shipwire receive an order for the Assembled SKU they know to simply pick & pack the ‘child’ SKU’s as standard. This setup allows the ‘child’ SKU’s to be also ordered individually or to be included in more than one Virtual Warehouse Kit.

    • Virtual Kit Stock Levels will be artificial. The indicate how many Assembled SKU’s, we could ship at any given moment, as opposed to how many *Warehouse Pre-Assembled SKU’*s are pre-assembled in the warehouse and ready to be dispatched. As the ‘child’ SKU’s in a Virtual Warehouse Kit can also be ordered on their own, or included in multiple Virtual Kits, the stock level of a Virtual Warehouse Kit will be the lowest stock level of any of the constituent ‘child’ SKU’s.

📢 Call-Out: Virtual kits mean that stock no longer needs to be manually assigned to different kits or assembled SKUs.

📢 Call-Out: Bulk Orders and Warehouse Pre-Assembly are restricted to ‘Better’ and ‘Best’ tier clients only.

📢 Distinction: An Assembled SKU can be either a Warehouse Pre-Assembled ****SKU or a Virtual Warehouse Kit.
