In developing our HR integrations feature, we've been very careful to request the narrowest level of information available from the system. HR systems necessarily contain detailed information about many employees, but we've specifically designed the system to only ever be able to access the fields we need to support sending a gift invitation to those staff, or fields that make it easy for gift senders to filter and search for particular recipients.
Specifically, we access the following data under these headings:

Groups/Teams
Manager
Work Email
Personal Email (only used if work email is not available)
Start Date
Termination Date (so we don't send gifts to people no longer employed)
Work Location Country

Employment Type
