Group Name is a helpful optional setting, that allows you to better track the batches of recipients that you upload to larger Campaigns.
Because a Campaign can be sent multiple times, this functionality provides you the ability to review each group of gift invitations to better support you in tracking these batches of gift sends.
📝 Note: This is an optional step that can be bypassed if desired. If a custom name is not given to a group, then our standard &Open naming convention will instead be assigned for any batches for a campaign. This will look like Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, etc.
In the new Campaign sender experience, you will now see a “Group name” section under recipient details:

And you will now see that group name reflected in Gift History when you review your Campaign:
