&Open keeps gift data in HubSpot by updating custom fields on your contacts. You can rename the labels in HubSpot to anything that suits your team.
The properties &Open uses
These custom fields are kept up to date on the Contact object in HubSpot:
Internal name | Type | What it holds |
andopen_most_recent_gift_link | URL | The invitation link for the most recent gift sent to this contact |
andopen_most_recent_gift_sent_date | Date and time | The date the most recent gift was sent |
andopen_most_recent_gift_redeemed_date | Date and time | The date the most recent gift was redeemed by the recipient |
andopen_most_recent_gift_delivery_date | Date and time | The date the most recent gift was delivered |
andopen_most_recent_gift_value | Number (currency) | The value of the most recent gift, in your account's currency |
andopen_lifetime_gift_cost | Number (currency) | The total value of all redeemed gifts sent to this contact |
How it works
When you send a gift through &Open, it updates the matching HubSpot contact (matched by email address):

Where these fields come from
You don't need to create these fields yourself. When you install the &Open app, it adds them to your contacts automatically, grouped under an &Open Gifting property group. If a field already exists, &Open leaves it as it is.
Questions and answers
Can I rename these fields?
Yes. You can change the label shown in HubSpot to whatever works for your team. Leave the internal name as it is, since that's what &Open uses to match the field.
I created these fields by hand for the older integration. Will that cause a problem?
No. &Open won't duplicate or overwrite fields that already exist, so the ones you created keep working.
